No need of CPU for every computer.

X-series Desktop virtualization kits

Up to eleven users on one PC? Absolutely—today’s PCs are so powerful that the vast majority of people use only a small fraction of their available computing power. The X-series taps the unused capacity so that up to eleven users can simultaneously share a single PC. Each user gets their own virtual workspace (applications, settings, files, and preferences), but at a fraction of what it would cost with individual computers. So even though eleven people share a single system, they each get their own rich PC experience.

Easy to install
Each X-series kit contains the powerful, award-winning vSpace desktop virtualization software, a PCI
card, and XD2 access devices. Each X350 kit adds three users to a low profile PC while the X550 kit adds five users to a full-sized PC. Setting it up is easy: just install the PCI card and virtualization software on the shared PC. Then connect the access devices to the PCI card with standard cables. Finally, connect each user’s monitor, keyboard, and mouse to their access device. That’s all—it’s as simple as an appliance. Now, multiple users can enjoy their own independent virtual desktops. Add a second kit and even more users can simultaneously share a single PC—up to 11 with the X550.

                                   NComputing X-series kit.

Powerful & flexible
Software applications run simultaneously and independently on each virtual desktop. Users don’t even know that they are sharing a PC! Your staff and users won’t need special training. They will also love getting their desk space back—the XD2 access devices are tiny, silent, mount on the back of the monitor, and have no moving parts. Yet they give each user a rich Windows or Linux workspace. Users enjoy multimedia with sound and full-motion video at screen resolutions of up to 1280x1024 or 1440x900 (widescreen).

Economical & efficient
With the NComputing X-series, you can easily lower your computing hardware and support costs by up to 75%. You will also save money on electricity. The highly efficient X-series uses only 1 watt per added user (compared to 110 watts for a typical PC). With a long useful life and weighing just a few ounces, the NComputing solution also greatly reduces e-waste. It is clearly the greenest computing solution on earth.

Connect up to six users to a single shared computer with one X550 kit (or eleven with two kits)

Why you need CPU for every computer?

L-series virtual desktops.

Today’s PCs are like supercomputers. And most PC users only use a small  fraction—as low as 5%—of the power of their machines. NComputing takes the excess capacity and allows up to 30 users to each enjoy their own rich PC experience. They feel like they have their own PC, but at a fraction of the cost and without all of the maintenance headaches.

The L-series is ideal for factories, offices, task workers, schools, call centers, and branch offices. It can connect all your devices, exactly like a CPU does.

Dramatically reduce your computing costs
The L-series costs less than half the price of entry-level PCs. And the ongoing savings are even higher. With no moving parts or local storage, repairs are rare and your maintenance costs are kept in check because you only have to maintain and upgrade the shared PCs—not the L-series. In fact, whenever you refresh to the latest PC technology, your L-series users will automatically enjoy the increased performance. Going green? Compare the 5 watts of power consumed by the L-series to the 110 watts or more in a typical PC. The small L-series access device (about half the size of a paperback book) consumes less power, generates less heat, produces less e-waste, and makes no noise.

Easy to install, simple to manage
Plug in your Ethernet cable, mouse, keyboard, and monitor. Install the included vSpace desktop virtualization software on the shared PC. It just takes a few minutes. You now have added multiple users, each with their own rich Windows or Linux environment. Best of all, you can run standard applications and your staff and users won’t need any special training.

Powerful and fl exible
The L130 features a compact design, a stereo jack, and 16-bit widescreen video support. The L230 has all of that, plus a USB fl ash drive port, a microphone jack, and 24-bit video support. Both support 640x480,
800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, and 1440x900 video modes.

Upgrading Your PC or Moving Your Card to another PC

Is it is possible for me to move NComputing X550 card to another computer which is already registered?

The registration process assigns your vSpace software license and X-series PCI card to
the specific host PC in which they are installed. If you change or upgrade multiple
components on your PC, such as the hard drive and operating system or if you move the
PCI card to another PC, you will need to re-assign your software license and card to the
new host PC configuration. When making such a change, simply repeat the online or
offline registration process. You can reassign your license in this way a maximum
of two additional times after your initial registration. If you exceed this limit, you
will need to contact NComputing technical support.

How to troubleshoot DHCP server was not found error of Ncomputing device?

If the access device cannot find a DHCP server, this error message appears.
• Make sure there is a DHCP server on the current network.
• Make sure a LAN cable is connected to the access device.
• Make sure the LAN cable connected to the access device is not a cross-over cable.
• Make sure the LAN cable is properly connected to the networking equipment.
• If there is no DHCP server on the current network, change to using a static IP address. See the section on installing the access device for instructions.

How to save energy while you use computer?

For energy savings and convenience, consider the following guidelines:

1) Turn off the monitor if you aren't going to use your PC for more than 20 minutes.

2) Turn off both the CPU and monitor if you're not going to use your PC for more than 2 hours.

3) Make sure your monitors, printers, and other accessories are on a power strip/surge protector. When this equipment is not in use for extended periods, turn off the switch on the power strip to prevent them from drawing power even when shut off. If you don't use a power strip, unplug extra equipment when it's not in use.

4) PCs also produce heat, so turning them off reduces building cooling loads.

5) screen savers are not energy savers. Using a screen saver may in fact use more energy than not using one, and the power-down feature may not work if you have a screen saver activated. In fact, modern LCD color monitors do not need screen savers at all.
